Now Live: The News with Jacki Bray
June 24th, 2009Yup. We promised it for weeks. And we broke those promises for weeks. But just think how much better it feels now that the day has arrived!
A long time coming, we bring you the online home of the world famous Two Jacks in the Hole News Girl. The one and only, Jacki Bray. The News with Jacki Bray is where you’ll be able to find links to all the news stories we talk about each week, as well as a few extra items we didn’t get to during the show.
We hope, in the coming weeks, to spruce this page up even further with a special section for Jacki Bray 4:20, as well as potentially posting news stories a few days early and allowing you monkeys to vote on which one you’d like us to Round Robin (we’re still thinking about this one, so don’t get yourselves crazy just yet).
And of course, Jacki has also been kind enough to post some of her favorite photos for your viewing enjoyment, and hopefully to entice those of you who are podcast-only listeners to tune in live each Wednesday evening.

Jury deadlocks in pillow fight shooting trial in Fayette County

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — A jury has deadlocked in the trial of a western Pennsylvania woman charged with fatally shooting her boyfriend during an argument over their favorite pillow.
The Fayette County jury could not decide Thursday whether to convict Johnna Palya, 44, of Hopwood, on charges of first-degree murder or third-degree murder. As a result, she’ll be tried again, perhaps as early as next month, in the death of Barry Pavlicko, 43, on Aug. 26, 2007.
Police say Palya shot Pavlicko after he took a pillow she wanted to use then attempted to shove her down the stairs.
Palya testified at trial that the gun went off accidentally, but police say she confessed to shooting Palya and that physical evidence shows she did so purposely in the back of his head.
You are the worst thing to have come to this show. TwoJacks was ten times better before you fucking ruined it with your annoying voice and your stupidity.
